The McLoud Public Library’s Ravenous Readers will join this year’s commemoration of The Big Read at their next book discussion, at 6 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the library, 133 N. Main St.
The discussion will focus on Tobias Wolff’s novel “Old School.”
Big Read scholar Robert French will lead the discussion of the novel, which is the featured work in this year’s Big Read in the library and throughout the Pioneer Library System.
Ravenous Readers meet monthly in McLoud, and as the group name would suggest, attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and share a meal while talking books.
Registration is requested to attend this month’s Big Read discussion.
The Big Read is sponsored by The National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Oklahoma Humanities Council, Norman Arts Council, University of Oklahoma Outreach, the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, LevyMart Public Relations, the Pioneer Library Foundation and the Pioneer Library System.
