white dog wearing black eye glassesIs the Moore Public Library going to the dogs? Well, not exactly. In fact, the dogs are coming to the library.

Books, Barks and Buddies, an ongoing program for children to read to therapy dogs, takes place from 7 to 8 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the library, 225 S. Howard Ave. in Moore.

Certified therapy dogs, through Tail Waggin’ Tutors and Therapy Dogs International, and handlers from Creatures and Kids, Inc. are conducting the sessions. The motto of the tutors is “Reading is Knowledge; Knowledge is Power, Paws a while to Read!”
