Last Updated on Monday, 28 January 2013 14:01
The Moore Public Library invites learning readers to practice their reading while making a new friend at its “Barks, Books and Buddies” program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of most months at the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
Upcoming editions of the program will be Feb. 5 and 19 in the library’s Story Time Room.
Children will read to a therapy dog who will spend time listening and not correcting, as a way to encourage the readers’ skills.
Parents or caregivers can sign up for a 15-minute session for their children to read by visiting the Children’s Desk or calling 793-4347.
