Learn the game of Mah Jongg at library programs

The Moore Public Library will host a series of classes on the game Mah Jongg. The programs will take place at 6:30 p.m. on consecutive Wednesdays, April 11, 18 and 25, each in Room A of the library, 225 S. Howard Ave.
Instructor Jane Hood will take participants through the background and rules of the game, which originated in China more than 2,500 years ago.
The program is part of the series of events commemorating the PLS Big Read, a celebration of literature focused around Amy Tan’s novel “The Joy Luck Club.”
The program is for ages 18 and up and registration is required. To sign up, visit the library, call 793-5100
