Newcastle to host holiday-themed Wednesday afternoon programs

PumpkinThe Newcastle Public Library is getting ready for the Halloween holiday with a pair of themed programs the next two Wednesdays, one for children and one for teens.

“Bats Are Flying” Afterschool Book Buddies Story Hour – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 – Lower elementary age children are invited to share stories about bats and make a craft relating to the stories.

Teen Spooky Craft – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 – Teens can decorate a light-up Halloween lantern they then can take out into the night later for trick-or-treating. Ghoulish snacks will be provided during the program.


Registration is not required for either of the programs.
