Norman has a "Creative Space" for tweens

Norman - Children

ChildrenToo old for Story Time? Not quite ready for teenage stuff? The Norman Public Library has a special space for children in that "tween" category.

The library’s new Creative Space program, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday nights, brings activities specifically tailored to children in third, fourth or fifth grade. January programs will take place on Jan. 3, 10, 16, 24 and 31 in the Story Time Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.

It’s geared to slightly older children than the library’s traditional children’s programming and features a variety of age-appropriate creative programs for participating children, including discussion of books, unique craft programs, a chance to make new friends and more.

Registration is not required to attend the programs.
