Norman welcomes visit from debut author
The Norman Public Library hosts local author Sandra McMahan for a discussion on her first book, “Eternity,” at 6 p.m. Monday, May 20, in Rooms A and B of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
McMahan will talk both about the book, as well as the process of getting an electronic book published.
McMahan is a fourth generation Oklahoman who now divides her time between Norman and the Gulf Coast. After working in health care for 25 years she has retired and gone back to her first love, writing. She has written more than 100 short stories and poems but this is her novel. She is also the grandmother of six.

Norman offers retirement savings workshop

Get some good ideas on a strong financial future with the Norman Public Library workshop “Investing and Retirement Savings: 101” at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
Financial and retirement plan expert Beth DuToit will lead the workshop, explaining tips on creating a nest egg. She will give information on making better sense of investing.

Norman hosts Dan Brown teleconference for new book release
International bestselling author Dan Brown will come to several of the Pioneer Library System’s hometown libraries via a live-streaming teleconference, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m.
The live streaming of Brown’s discussion will be shown at the Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster Ave. The broadcast also will be streamed at the Southwest Oklahoma City and McLoud libraries.
