Get prepared for spring planting season with Garden Workshop and Seed Exchange

Norman - Adults

Garden

Every day brings spring a day closer, meaning it’s time to start thinking about and planting those spring vegetable and flower gardens.

The Norman Public Library will host a Garden Workshop and Seed Exchange at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave. Gardeners with the greenest of thumbs, as well as those just wanting to have a more productive garden in 2012, are invited.

Dr. Norm Park, an expert local gardener, will lead attendees through the process of successfully starting seeds.

At the conclusion of the workshop there will be a seed swap, so participants are encouraged to bring saved or excess seeds to trade.

Registration is not required to take part.
