Norman hosts grant writing workshop for nonprofits
The Norman Public Library will present An Introduction to Finding Funders, Grantseeker Resources and Proposal Writing, in a workshop at 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 26, in the Computer Training Center of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
The workshop is offered free of charge and is targeted to representatives from nonprofit organizations. It will be presented by Kief Schladweiler, Coordinator of Cooperating Collections with the Foundation Center.
Mr. Schladweiler will highlight the electronic and print resources available for free use at the Norman Public Library, a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center.
As part of the workshop, attendees will get an introduction to the Foundation Center’s online database, its website www.grantseeker.org, which offers information and resources that are specifically designed to meet the needs of grantseekers, and tips on writing a successful grant proposal.
Space is limited, so registration is required to take part in the workshop.
