Norman Area Quilters Guild to host demonstration at the library
The Norman Area Quilters Guild returns to the Norman Public Library for a day-long demonstration of the quilting process, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Lowry Room of the library, 225 N. Webster Ave.
The group has been coming to the library for a number of years for an annual demonstration of what it does and how those interested in quilting in general can learn more about the process. This year’s event will specifically focus on string quilts.
In advance of the program, group members have provided a string quilt display that will be exhibited in the Campbell Gallery Room of the library throughout March.
The Norman Area Quilters Guild began in 2003 and is a group of local quilters who get together for monthly workshops and meetings to share ideas, as well as to put on events in the community like the library appearance.
Registration is not required to attend their presentation.
