Volunteer your literacy skills in Shawnee

Would you like to share the joy of reading? The Pottawatomie County Literacy program is looking for a few good men (and women!) to serve as volunteer reading tutors for adults who want to learn to read or want to improve their reading skills. We are also recruiting tutors to work with students who are learning English as a second language. What does tutoring involve?
Qualifications:
Available an hour or two a week;
Able to commit to 9 months-1 year of tutoring;
Attend a workshop or one-on-one tutor training;
Dependable, flexible, friendly, patient, optimistic;
Good reading and writing skills.
