The Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library is saying a big “thank you” to its community as it celebrates the “Season of Thankfulness” from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in Room A of the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
Staff will spend the afternoon showing their gratitude to customers through a variety of fall-themed displays and activities.
There will be activities for all ages, and registration is not required to take part.
The day also gives a chance for cardholders to give back to the library’s annual Food for Fines program, which kicks off Nov. 16 and runs through Nov. 24.
During Food for Fines, cardholders may bring one can, box or bag of non-expired, non-perishable, unopened and undamaged food which may be exchanged for $1 credit each on fines, up to a maximum waiver of $20 off an account. The items will be donated to charitable organizations for those in need in advance of the holiday season.
