Shawnee hosts Saturday ESL conversation classes

Anyone needing help with English as a Second Language is invited to a weekly ESL conversation class at the Shawnee Public Library.
The class takes place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays in the Conference Room of the library, 101 N. Philadelphia Ave.
The group will read books and newspapers and discuss current events to practice reading and speaking in English. The group also will review new vocabulary and enjoy learning something about all of the cultures represented in the class.
The class is put on by the Pottawatomie County Literacy Services Department, part of the adult literacy services offered throughout the Pioneer Library System.
Registration is not required to take part.
