A zombie outbreak has hit the Southwest Oklahoma City Public Library, and it’s up to local teens to come in and save the day.
With the help of representatives from Science Museum Oklahoma, they’ll try to “Survive the Zombie Pandemic” at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, at the library, 2201 SW 134th St.
Participants will become part of the Zombie Responder Team and learn the science behind what would happen in a potential outbreak.
The program is part of the library’s series of events for the 2014 Summer Reading Program and also one of several being offered around the library system by Science Museum Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Museum Network.
Register online, at the library or by calling 979-2200.
Major sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Oklahoma Arts Council, Hitachi, Kirkpatrick Family Fund, The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Sonic, Oklahoma 529 College Savings Plan, The Oklahoman, the Pioneer Library System and the Pioneer Library System Foundation.
