Make the Library Just Right!

Our Just Right event is inspired by Goldilocks and the Three Bears. As Goldilocks says, we want to make sure our libraries are "just right" for you! And like Goldilocks, we have three bears—teddy bears, that is—in small, medium, and large sizes.
From February 13 through March 21, you will have the opportunity to complete a brief, regular, or in-depth customer survey online. The three libraries whose customers complete the most surveys by the end of the contest period will each win a soft, cuddly giant teddy bear for their Children’s Departments!

Tax Season is here, and your hometown libraries are ready to help you find the resources you need to file your taxes. This year, taxes must be filed by Tuesday, April 17, 2012. April 15 falls on a Sunday and April 16 is a federal holiday in Washington, D.C.
Each hometown library offers a limited supply of the most requested federal tax forms and is equipped to help you locate, download, and print your federal or state tax forms. Library cardholders may file their taxes online from library computers, but library staff is not trained to answer tax-related questions or work in actual preparation of forms.
Please note:
- Standard charges for printing or photocopying apply. Black and white prints or copies are $0.15 per page. Color prints or copies are $0.30 per page.
- Hometown libraries are unable to install personal tax software onto library computers.
Use the following information to find Oklahoma and federal tax forms and other tax resources:

Did you unwrap a Kindle, Nook, or other tablet or e-reader this holiday season? Are you ready to start reading, but not sure where to start? We've compiled some helpful tips and links on how to set up your device as well as how to start downloading library e-books.
Setting Up Your Device
First, charge your device for at least 4 hours. All e-readers can be charged by using a USB cable to connect the device to a computer. If you have a power adapter that will allow you to charge the device from a wall outlet, use it. Your device will charge more quickly from a wall outlet than from your computer.
Once your device is charged, you will need to follow the manufacturer's steps for registering your device before you can use it. Usually directions for this process are included with the device. If not, click the name of your device below to go to the manufacturer's startup instructions.
